Quintazen design & fabrication

JB Etonia

Engineered objects for interiors: sculptural forms made through digital design, additive manufacture, experimental materials and light.

PARAMETRIC FORMMATERIAL LOGICELECTRONICSFABRICATION

The studio

Decoration, developed as engineering.

Each JB Etonia piece begins as a spatial and material problem. Geometry is modelled specifically for the fabrication process; surfaces, translucency and colour are composed around the completed object rather than applied as an afterthought.

Selected objects extend further, incorporating programmable illumination, environmental response and the foundations of the Zen assistance system.

Current explorations

Form, light and embedded behaviour.

The first public collection will be documented here with individual photographs, dimensions, materials, date and serial number.

Study 01

Luminous vessels

Translucent layered structures designed around internal light.

Study 02

Active surfaces

Decorative skins developed through parametric modelling and fabrication tests.

Study 03

Intelligent objects

Interior objects that can sense, communicate and assist without becoming screens.

The dedicated JB Etonia collection is intended to move to jbetonia.quintazen.co.uk. This first draft keeps it within the main Quintazen site while the collection is assembled.

Have a difficult problem?

Let us engineer the useful answer.

Quintazen is interested in projects that cross conventional boundaries—where software, electronics, data and physical design need to work together.
